Oak Mini Chips

These mini chips are around 1 to 3 mm in size which is the optimum smoking chip for use in the Camerons Smoker and other stainless steel tray-style hot smokers.
Oak is by far the most popular wood smoke flavour and one of the most versatile. It’s rich, rounded flavour is quite strong but it works well with any meats, game, chicken and fish, particularly salmon. It can overpower more delicate flavours, but if you like things smoky, oak is a great choice.
This mini chip size is also idea for use in electric smoking gun products which are widely used in professional kitchens for that all-important smoky hit for particular ingredients. To use in a Camerons, add a heaped tablespoon to the inside of the stainless steel base. As the smoker heats up the chips will begin to smoulder producing their delicious smoky flavours. Don’t be tempted to spread the chips across the base as they will burn rather than smoulder.
Pack size is approximately 500g giving you a generous supply of smoking chips for your hot smoking projects. Packaged in sealed cellophane bags. Reseal bags after use, store in a cool dry place and your wood chips will be great for smoking for up to 2 years.
