This combination of racks for use in a ProQ smoker (or any BBQ), includes the Grilling Basket, a fine mesh alternative for smoking smaller items such as chillis, tomatoes, garlic, nuts and seafood, along with a Rib Rack which can hold foods such as ribs, chicken wings or whole corn on the cob in place whilst they smoke. Both are suitable for hot and cold smoking.
The Grilling Basket has a mesh size of around 6mm, so is a perfect surface for foods which would otherwise fall through a regular grill rack. The fine mesh stainless steel construction allows smoke, steam and heat to flow through to your food which makes it a highly useful accessory for both hot and cold smoking. It has two fold down side handles, which makes it easy to move the basket along with its contents. The diameter is 40cm and just place it on top of the regular grill rack in any ProQ (excluding the smaller model, the Ranger) or BBQ.
The Rib Rack is made from chrome plated steel and has a series of ‘compartments’ along with spikes for anchoring food (please take care, these are sharp!) The dimensions are approximately 26cm long by 20cm wide by 8cm high. This is a highly versatile addition to your smoking line-up allowing you to stack foods and hold in place whilst they smoke, increasing the capacity of your grill.
