Oak Wood Dust

Our pure oak wood dust is a favourite of the cold smoker. It is a deep dark colour and a consistently fine particle dust. Oak produces a heavy strong smoke flavour which works well with most full flavoured foods including beef, lamb and venison. Great with cold smoked salami or chorizo and a favourite with salmon. Choose from 500g and 1kg pack weights.

This pure Oak wood dust is ideal for a wide range of cold smoking projects and for use in stainless steel hot smokers. Because of its fine consistency it is perfect for use in the ProQ Cold Smoke Generators and other slow smouldering cold smoking techniques. The dust is packed by weight and is available in bags of 500g (£4.50) and 1kg (£8.50). Larger bulk quantities are also available. See separate entry. The dust is packaged in heavy duty lined kraft bags and closed with natural jute twine - which is resealable. All woods for smoking are sourced from managed estates or sustainable sources and the wood is completely natural and untreated. This oak wood is sourced from sustainable FSC/PEFC certified managed woodlands in Germany.
