Maple is a mild to medium hardwood with a slight sweetness and a lovely mellow smoke flavour which works well with pork and poultry and particuarly delicate trout.

All our Hot Smoked wood products are FSC approved or from sustainable sources including managed estates. The wood is completely natural virgin timber from a non waste source, it is kiln dried to replicate the seasoning process and chipped to a uniform size of around 5 to 10mm. As this is a natural product, batches and wood chips size can vary.
