This combination of wood smoke flavours, spice, rubs and sauces is the perfect complement to cooking and smoking meat dishes. The Aged Vine Chunks are a densely grained wood, produced from air dried vines originally grown in the Languedoc Roussillon wine region in the South of France. These vines have reached the end of their productive life and are removed to make way for replanting. As a wood smoke flavour, the chunks deliver a rich, dense, fruity flavour ideal for red meats and game. Mesquite is one of the strongest and more exotic hardwood smoke flavours from the USA. Its has a distinctive dark and amber colouring and delivers a strong spicy smoke flavour which is commonly used in cajun cooking. It's robust smoke flavour is ideal for any red meats and particularly good for long slow cooking. The selection of rubs, herbs and spices we've put together in this hamper are all designed to work with meats and game, providing heat, spice and depth of flavour. In hot smoking rubs are commonly used to create a delicious crust on slow cooked meats, or add to homemade marinades. Hamper box measures: H14 x W34 x D32 cm
